Bow Island/Burdett Chamber Of Commerce Small Business Week – October 17-21, 2016

Monday, October 17th – Teresa Hardiker – Economic Development Alliance. Teresa will be discussing ways to marketing your small business in a local rural community and round table discussion/options for bringing local consumers into your business vs those consumers going into the city to do their shopping. Join us at 6:30 pm at the Golden Age Centre.

Wednesday, October 19th – Melanie Friesen – Alberta Works. Melanie is a workforce consultant with Alberta Labour and her specialty is on Alberta Job initiatives, grant incentives and workforce needs. She will provide information on Job Grants and initiatives available to employers. Join us at 6:30 pm at the Golden Age Centre.

Friday, October 21st – The Bow Island/Burdett Chamber Of Commerce Wine & Cheese – 6:30 pm. Presentation by Ryan Jackson “Sales is Still a Contact Sport, It’s Just the Contact That’s Changed”. Ryan is currently the Managing Director of the RAMECO Group of Companies and is a Certified Management Consultant. Ryan was named Business Person of the Year in 2011 by Medicine Hat College, was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013 and was the 2014 BDC Mentorship Award Winner for Canada.
